"Monique's thorough mastery of LinguiSHTIK places her as one of the all-time
great Ling players.She can claim a good share of the credit for the ten
championships won by her teams over three years. If you are a member of
a team facing an imminent playoff, you tend to mentally group your teammates
into one of three categories: "We can count on him/her," "He/she will probably
be okay," "I hope he/she doesn't screw up." Monique is Category 1
in all cube games. On-Sets had been Category 3, but in 12th grade she trained
rigorously and ended by carrying our team with straight sixes through playoffs
and two sudden-death matches. The generations of Renaissance students immediately
following us owe their considerable success in large part to the comprehensive
instruction they received from Monique."
