LinguiSHTIK Tutorial
A video to teach LinguiSHTIK from scratch has been produced by Language Arts Chair Ellen Bredeweg with narration by Rod Beard.
It is impossible to guarantee that the movie will download and run on every computer, especially those in a school network. However, the following steps should work for most.
- Right click on the link below ("Download LinguiSHTIK Tutorial"). A menu should popup.
- Depending on your system, choose the menu item that allows you to save the file to your desktop - probably either "Save target as ..." or "Save File to Desktop ..." or similar wording.
- When the file has been saved, double-click on its icon on the Desktop. Ideally, a program that can play the movie will load and begin the video. If so, you can skip the rest of these instructions.
- Another possibility is that you get a dialog box asking you to choose an application to open the file. It should run on either Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, or QuickTime. (ITunes will also play it on a Mac.)
- If steps 3 and 4 fail, try right-clicking once on the file on the desktop, choose "Open with..." and browse to find either Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, or QuickTime.
