"His impact moreover has been felt in the training of and inspiration to younger players. When Mike left Ann Arbor Clague to go to the High School in 10th grade, he traveled twice a week to help the Clague sponsor train the middle teams. At the same time, he began a game club at Huron High School without the benefit of a sponsor. In fact, he was opposed by the school administration."
